A score of his short stories have appeared in horror, fantasy, sci-fi and crime anthologies published by, inter alia, Flame Tree, Wizard's Tower, Raconteur Press and Belanger Books. He writes a semi-regular blog on strange music for the BFS website, is a member of the Folklore Society, and often gives talks on weird subjects, from vampires and cannibals to bodysnatchers and cryptozoology. He's won several awards, judged awards himself, been a panellist, a moderator, and a general all-round nuisance. His novels marinate in querying hell.
